HELLO!

Well, winter is definitely upon us and it’s getting
cold and dark. Plus the clocks go back on Saturday making
it even darker.

Boo and a big hiss to all that!

Here are a few Cusqueña things that may lighten
up the next few weeks for you though!

DISCOVER THE DARKSIDE

On
a very tenuous link with it being dark, next week sees
Cusqueña Malta (a Dark Lager) making a very short
guest appearance at Threshers!

We’ve been asked by thousands of people on our
site “when are you going to bring the Dark Lager
over as well?!”

Well, for a short time only the lovely people at Threshers
have it exclusively - but it won’t be there for
long so you’ll need to get in there soon!

Cusqueña Malta has been commended as one of the
best dark lagers in the world by journalists and we
agree as it really is very nice indeed!

Now not many people know a lot about dark lager so here
is a quick lesson; It is made using the same process
as normal lager however, darker malts give it deep colour
and rich flavours along the lines of bitter chocolate,
coffee and molasses. Many (such as Cusqueña Malta)
have a sweetness which pairs it well with many sweet
and savoury dishes!

It really is lovely so get along to Thresher and try
some before they’re gone!

MUCHOS
FUN AT LAS IGUANAS

Another
way of brightening up the dark nights is getting a group
of your best mates together and heading out to a Las
Iguanas near you for some serious Latin fun.

Las Iguanas is a chain of Latin restaurants with real
Latin food, real Latin music & entertainment and
a really special Latin welcome. It really is a fun night
out!

Not only do they do Latin food and do it really well,
they have their own Cachaçaria bars where they
serve some of the very best Caipirinha’s in the
UK. They are lovely and taste like summer (even though
it’s far from it!).

To top off their fab offering they have now listed the
beautiful Pure brew from Peru in their restaurants across
the country - and it features at the top of their menu
no less. “Hurray” we hear you say.

We would still say the same things if we weren’t
listed in there - however, we are so that’s doubly
great!

October Issue Number 1

SCISSOR SISTERS PARTY
ON CUSQUEÑA!

First
the Glamour awards, then the GQ Awards and now the Scissor
Sisters wanting Cusqueña as the only beer for
their parties!

With

it really is no wonder that we keep getting these requests.

Anyway,
following a fab gig in Trafalgar Square to celebrate
the launch of their new album “Ta-Dah”,
the Scissor Sisters plus Kylie Minogue, Chris Evans,
Sir Elton John, Kelly Osbourne & David Walliams
amongst many others had a huge party at Asia De Cuba
in London’s trendy St Martins Lane Hotel.

Yet
again CUS-KEN-YA was drunk dry and although Kylie wasn’t
drinking our pure brew from Peru, we’d like to
mention her as she looked absolutely lovely!

FOOD & DRINK FESTIVAL

Lots
of good stuff is happening in Manchester this next week
with the Manchester Food & Drink festival. “Britain’s
biggest urban food & drink festival” according
to the Guardian no less!
